I’m pitching the dark places where truth hides

Monsters Look Like Us

These are formal requests: letters I send into the black to invite filmmakers, producers, and curators of the strange to read, consider, and adapt.

Why this page exists

I keep a ledger of the outreach that finds me — not to shame, but to document. This page is a forward-facing portal where I put names I’m asking to consider adaptation, collaboration, or conversation.
If your inbox is crowded, mine is noisier; the difference is I write things that linger. If you’re here because someone told you to be, good. If you’re here because you want to be first — better.

What I’m Offering — First Responder Series Bible

The First Responder Series Bible is a complete, voice-driven blueprint for an 18-episode season — gritty, intimate, and stitched with the moral density I mine in prose.
It’s written in first-person because I want the camera to lean in close and never let go. Second Chances (Book 2) and Hemoglobin Insecure (Book 3) follow as natural expansions on the same world.

Request: Legal / Rights Info

Please include your company, role, and a brief reason why you want the Bible. I’ll reply with verification steps and a secure file transfer — because paperwork matters and so does discretion.

My Novels — Quick Reference

  1. Bereft Reality — A sprawling, 1980s-tinged psychological epic about what we do to each other when mercy weakens. (Themes: memory, shame, the monstrous domestic.)
  2. Picking Murphys — Small town rot and the ways secrets grow roots. (Themes: vengeance, moral fracture.)
  3. First Responder — Nightshift tales where the healer and the predator look the same; a vampire story dressed in EMS blues. (Themes: hunger, professionalism as a mask.)
  4. Site 123 — An architectural nightmare that becomes its own character. (Themes: confinement, systems that punish.)
  5. They Heinous — Brutal, precise, and unflinching. (Themes: public sins, private collapses.)

These are the books I write to prove a single truth: monsters are not out there — they are next door, in suits, in uniforms, in the voice that asks for help.

What I’m asking for

  • Serious, verifiable development conversations only — I will request corporate verification for any outreach.
  • No unsolicited payment requests. If fees are proposed for scripts/trailers, they must be contractually transparent and negotiated through counsel.
  • Respect the voice. Any adaptation must honor the first-person intimacy and moral ambiguity at this work’s core.

Press & Creds

I’ve published five novels and shepherd multiple projects through treatments, bibles, and pitch decks. My author site (peggylanders.com) carries full credits, cover art, and a press kit available on request.
