Program Description
The Friends of Darkness page exists as a way for individuals, creators, and companies to support my work as a writer through voluntary donation. In appreciation, supporters may be acknowledged with a small logo, a brief caption or statement, and a link to their website. This acknowledgment is not advertising, sponsorship, or endorsement; it is a public thank-you to those who choose to support independent creative work and the stories that grow from it.
The purpose of the page is simple: to recognize those who believe in the work, value independent storytelling, and want to stand beside it in a visible but restrained way.
Curation & Exclusivity
Participation is intentionally limited and curated. Each supporter is granted exclusivity within their category—meaning only one artist, one publisher, one service, or one business of a given type will appear on the page at any time.
This approach keeps the space personal, uncluttered, and meaningful, reflecting alignment rather than volume. Inclusion is based on mutual respect and shared values, not reach, traffic, or marketing goals.

Support may be made at one of two suggested donation levels:

Lifetime Recognition Terms
Lifetime acknowledgments are intended to remain in place unless the supporter goes out of business, significantly changes identity, or becomes associated with legal or reputational issues that could negatively impact my work as an author.
This is meant to preserve the integrity of the page, the tone of the site, and the trust of those who visit it.
